Overview
The Zalman ZM-M220W is supported with all 2008 versions of FrameCycler and SpeedGrade except SpeedGrade OnSet.
The display works with passive glasses provided by Zalman and doesn't require any active shuttering mechanism or a stereo emitter box. Left and right eye are send via one DVI cable. The native resolution of the display is 1680 * 1050. DIsplay of HD and 2K content is possible by using FrameCycler's and SpeedGrade's scaling mechanism.
It can be used with a Windows PC or a MacPro. For details please refer to the technical requirements for your IRIDAS applications.
For technical information about the display itself please visit the Zalman web site.
Single monitor setup
The single monitor setup is available with all FrameCycler and SpeedGrade applications except SpeedGrade OnSet.The monitor should be attached to the nVidia QaudroFX GPU via DVI and connected to the DVI input on the Zalman.
Dual monitor setup
FrameCycler DDS, FrameCycler DI, SpeedGrade XR and SpeedGrade DI allow for using the Zalman in a dual monitor setup. Since you can only get a correct vertical sync on one DVI output this might lead to tearing on the Zalman if it is connected to the output that is not properly synchronised.
Choosing the right display output in FrameCycler and SpeedGrade
For both single and dual monitor setup you need to activate the stereo mode that feeds the Zalman:
- Launch FrameCycler or SpeedGrade
- Open the settings (hit <S> or click the settings button)
- Select "Display" int the list to the left
- Set OpenGL Stereo to "Interlaced (scanlines)"
- Close the settings window, restart the application
