Introduction

SpeedGrade OnSet 2010 allows for getting reference images from T-Cube FIG and to send back looks which can be applied in real time on live SDI input. This can be used for preview purposes on set as well as for generating dailies with looks applied. You can use the Tangent CP200 BK or the Tangent Wave in combination with this setup

System requirements

  • Laptop or workstation with SpeedGrade OnSet 2010
  • T-Cube FIG LUT559 with OS-version 1.15.4, Boot-Loader 1.1.1 and package version 1.53 or higher. You can download the packages from here [1]
  • Network cable to connect the laptop or workstation to the T-Cube FIG

Step 1: T-Cube FIG Settings

Please connect the T-Cube FIG with an ethernet cable to your laptop or workstation. Make the following changes in the FIG setup:

  • During boot, press GROUP in order to get the OS operation screen.
    >> Setup >> TCP/IP Setup:
Change TCP/IP Mode to use a static IP Address. Set IP to 176.23.1.1, Subnet Mask to 255.255.0.0 and gateway to "unused".
  • Restart T-Cube FIG

Step 2: preparing your laptop or workstation

  • Set your network controller to use an IP address within the same range as the T-Cube. Standard IP address would be 176.23.1.50, Subnet Mask 255.255.0.0
  • Send a Ping to the T-Cube FIG (open a command line window, type ping 176.23.1.1). If the request gets timed out please double check IP address and Subnet Mask settings for both your T-Cube FIG and your computer, then repeat the ping.

Step 3: preparing SpeedGrade OnSet

  • Launch SpeedGrade OnSet, then hit "S" or push the Settings button.
  • Choose "Remote" in the list to the left
  • Choose "Cine-tal/T-Cube Integration" under "Mode"
  • Enter the IP Address of the T-Cube FIG (default is 176.23.1.1)
  • Use 65 x 65 x 65 LUT size
  • Restart the application

SpeedGrade OnSet will now show a new button in the main interface called "Get reference". Click on it, you should see a reference image from the T-Cube FIG after a couple of seconds. If you create a look you can send it to the T-Cube FIG via "Send Look"
