Overview

FrameCycler DDS, FrameCycler DI, SpeedGrade XR and SpeedGrade DI 2009 support the nVidia QuadroFX SDI technology. For recommended GPUs and certified drivers please check the graphics card compatibility page.

General Requirements

All IRIDAS applications rely on GPU processing for tasks such as color space conversions, apllying LUTs and color grading. Therefore the nVidia SDI technology is required for real time SDI monitoring. Regular SDI output cards such as AJA or BlackMagic are not supported. Please note that as of Q2 2010 the nVidia SDI technology is not available for OS X.

Adjusting the Settings for SDI Output

Make sure to connect both inside and outside connector between the nVidia QuadroFX card and the SDI daughterboard. For further info please refer to the manual for the QuadroFX SDI card.

Connect the DVI monitor to the free DVI output of the nVidia QuadroFX card. Connect the SDI monitor with the nVidia SDI daughterboard. Make sure the SDI mirroring in your nVidia driver is not turned on (it is off by default, if you haven't changed it no action is required).

Open your IRIDAS application:

  • Click on Settings (or hit "S" alternatively)
