Graphics Card Compatibility (2011)
From IRIDAS Online Documentation

Overview: IRIDAS applications are GPU accelerated
IRIDAS applications rely extensively on the OpenGL, CUDA and shader technologies of modern nVidia graphics cards.
Some applications are more demanding on the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) than others. SpeedGrade OnSet and MetaRender in regular mode (CPU mode) do not require specific technologies to be present in the graphics card.
The cards listed here are certified for use with IRIDAS 2011 applications.
SpeedGrade NX 2011 and FrameCycler DDS 2011
NVIDIA Quadro 6000 with SDI Daughterboard, NVIDIA Quadro 5000 with SDI Daughterboard
- ForceWare Driver 259.57 for Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit)
OS X 10.6.x: Quadro 4000 for Mac, no additional driver required
The SDI daughterboard is supported on Windows only. Apple does not supply a driver for the SDI functionality as of Q2 2011, so on the Mac platform there is no direct SDI support.
FrameCycler Professional 2011
FrameCycler Professional is certified to work with all graphics card listed above. In addition it is successfully used with most modern nVidia graphics card on the market, in particular with
Geforce 8800 (PC only)
Geforce 285 GTX (PC only
Geforce GT120 (OS X only)
If you don't need to use 3D LUTs or other features requiring GPU processing, you can switch to GDI or XWindows mode which are compatible with virtually all graphics cards on the market.
MetaRender
MetaRender by default uses the CPU for rendering and is not dependent on the graphics card. If you enable GPU rendering in MetaRender, the GPU requirements will be identical to those of FrameCycler DDS.
SpeedGrade OnSet
SpeedGrade OnSet uses no GPU resources as all processing is done on the CPU. SpeedGrade OnSet is compatible with all modern graphics cards. If your the application does not display correctly on Windows machines, please change the SpeedGrade OnSet display mode to Standard Mode.
