Dual DVI Output

Dual DVI output for FrameCycler and SpeedGrade
FrameCycler DDS, FrameCycler DI and SpeedGrade XR, SpeedGrade DI support the nVidia Quadro SDI solutions to control a second monitor. Dual DVI output is available as alternate solution if SDI is not required and the limited grading performance over Dual DVI is not an issue.
Please the GPU driver version before making any changes in your IRIDAS application.
Adjusting the settings for Dual DVI
- Connect both monitors to your workstation and make sure both are running with native resolution. You can combine different resolutions if the driver setup you've chosen allows for it, the best setup is a combination of 2 identical displays. Keep in mind that only one monitor will get a correct vertical refresh over DVI whereas the second monitor could show tearing. Depending on your combination of workstation, operating system and display setup this will require tests. Footage with fast movement is ideal to spot issues.
- Open your IRIDAS application. click on Settings (or hit "S" alternatively). Select SDI / Dual DVI from the list to the left. Before you activate enter Offset and Size data. A typical Setup using 2 x 24" displays where the main gui is on the monitor to the left would look like this:
- Once you've chosen the correct Settings, click on "Enable" to activate the second monitor. This will move the image from the main gui to the specified second monitor.
- If you need to disable the second output, simply use CTRL + ALT + D.
